We were all so busy in Grange during Halloween week. Children from Junior Infants to Sixth class got involved in a host of spooky themed activities. Here is a small taste of the fun we had coming up to our mid term break. We can see Junior and Senior infants on their Halloween walk, 4th and 5th with their very impressive masks, 2nd with their ” Witch” song and the whole school led by Mr O Toole doing the “Monster Mash”.
The children all throughout the school have been enjoying a range of art activities.

On Thursday September 24th, there was a small military equipment exhibition held in Mrs. McGeeney’s classroom for the students of Junior Infants to Second class.
Mrs. McGeeney gave a presentation of what was on show, and the children enjoyed examining and trying on some of the equipment!
Today was the last of Active Schools Week and what a day we had. Lots of children displayed their different sports from rugby to dance and martial arts to ballet!
Mums, Dads and teachers had a race with some very prestigious prizes up for grabs!Well done to Elaine Keogh, Leah Mulhall and Annette Dalton who won the Mums races, alongside Tommy Stynes, Fred Feegan and David Ryan who won the dads race. Mr. O’Toole was the overall winner for the teachers.
A huge thank you to all the staff, children and parents for making it such a fun week. Keep fit and active by continuing to do lots of activities both in school and after!
The children have been exercising all week and will need lots of rest over the Bank Holiday weekend… enjoy everyone!
Today there was great fun at lunch time where the children and the teachers had a very competitive game of basketball! The teachers did well and sneaked a victory however the children from 5th and 6th are eager for a win tomorrow!
There was a hip hop dancing display from the children in 5th to a well know song. Take a look at the video of them in action here.
All classes are continuing to do their laps each day with everyone improving greatly as the week goes on.
Some of the children in 2nd class did a taekwon do display which all the children really enjoyed. Well done everyone! Keep up the great work!
Day 1: Today the children took part in skipping skills outside. They practiced a variety of different skills at different stations. It looked easy but everyone soon found out that it is trickier than it looks!
Classes also had a DROP EVERYTHING AND DANCE just before lunch time. Teachers and children danced to ‘Get Happy’ and had great fun bopping!
Table tennis was taking place outside Mr. Twomey’s room with the children from 5th and 6th and 4th and 5th all getting turns to play.
Unfortunately the weather was not as good as we had hoped for, however all classes managed to get out and do their laps so well done for braving the c
