Discover Primary Science and Maths (DPSM) is the national programme, run by Science Foundation Ireland, to foster interest in science, technology engineering and maths amongst children in primary schools. This year, as part of their SESE curriculum, the children in 4th & 5th class will be taking part in the SFI Discover Science and Maths Award.
Our little scientists are already busy at work. The boys and girls in Mr. O Toole’s class are very excited to be learning all about electricity. They began by constructing a basic circuit and investigating the necessary components for a complete circuit. They are also examining conductors/insulators by exploring different materials in their circuits. Please see the gallery below of our future electrical engineers at work.
